According to Charlie Brooker, the show’s creator gave a hint as to what to expect for the new season of Black Mirror:
“Partly as a challenge, and partly to keep things fresh for both the viewer and me, I began this season by deliberately upending some of my own core assumptions about what to expect,” Brooker said in the post. “Consequently, this time, alongside some of the more familiar Black Mirror tropes we’ve also got a few new elements, including some I’ve previously sworn blind the show would never do, to stretch the parameters of what ‘a Black Mirror episode’ even is. The stories are all still tonally Black Mirror through-and-through — but with some crazy swings and more variety than ever before.”
A new teaser, released on Wednesday reveals that Black Mirror’s sixth season will be out in June 2023 and features big-name actors like Aaron Paul, Kate Mara, and Salma Hayek. Netflix has not said how many episodes will be in this new season but we all hope it will be more than the three episodes of season five which came out back in 2019!
