Meet Laurent François, our industry panel speaker, a pioneer in social media and digital marketing, founder of RE-UP agency, trusted partner of brands and creative misfit!
Laurent drives the creative strategies and digital developments for RE-UP. Prior to that, Laurent led the first 360° Digital Influence department for Ogilvy (now called Social@Ogilvy) group in Europe, working for clients like Lenovo, Nestlé, Louis Vuitton, IBM and Grazia.
He then joined a European media group to build up their social business division, introducing a new business model with a cross-team made of journalists, bloggers, advertising teams and external talents. Laurent came back to London in 2012, starting as a freelancer in leading positions for network-agencies like JWT and Havas.
He created RE-UP agency with his business partner in 2014; a creative army of misfits, helping brands to achieve their advertising and communications objectives with social media at the very core of their creative developments.
In 2015, Laurent won the YDLA award in the Young Leader category in London. He also contributes to diverse magazines (Social Media Today, L’Express Styles, M&M etc.) and is a happy visiting lecturer for a range of business and arts schools.
