Giphy has just launched an iOS update which makes it easier to type out and send any GIF your wan from virtually everywhere on your screen.
With the latest Giphy app update on iOS, users will get to experience deeper integration with iOS.The updated GIPHY app now comes with the GIF Keyboard extension, which also features the brand new Sticker Maker. From now on, it will be easier to access the GIPHY environment by tapping on the globe sign on the bottom left corner of the keyboard.
Up until now, iOS offered the opportunity for users to switch to Giphy environment through a separate keyboard. However this is now a thing of the past, as Giphy will be fully integrated within the existing language options in the message composition interface.
By tapping on the globe sign, a search bar will appear along with the pre-populated GIFS, giving users the oppourtunity to find the desired visual or swipe through the existing ones. What’s even more interesting is the ability to add images straight from the camera roll and overlay them with stickers, text or filters too, in order create animated stickers.
These last few features are also mirrored within the native Giphy app. Users can now create their own collection of GIFs and set them to public or private accessibility.
The company is pioneering short form content, having announced the first ultra-short film festival back in August.
