Meerkat, the live streaming sensation has been on an ongoing battle with its Twitter counterpart, Periscope, with both of them releasing updates and new features, in order to attract more users on their respective platforms.
AlThe so Read: Periscope Makes It Easier To Find Broadcasts Anywhere In the World
The latest feature update comes from Meerkat. The live streaming platform announced that it would bring embed options to its users’ videos, so as to help them embed them anywhere online. Right now, users could watch live streams only through the platform. With the new update, they are encouraged to make their videos available to their websites as well.
This move has two immediate take aways. First of all, it allows people to keep traffic on their websites, without having to redirect their readers to Meerkatapp.co. Then, Meerkat will have the opportunity to earn larger exposure, by broadening the ways it is available to users and viewers.
The ball now is on Periscope’s field.
