It’s been a year since the Twitter owned company has launched, and 40 million users later, Vine has published a collection of 180 of its favourite videos.

The reputation of the 6-second social video platform spread instantly after its launch, but its impact was not fully perceived, until Facebook owned Instagram decided to include video sharing functionality as well, back in June 2013.
In a special microsite, created for the occasion, Vine staff wrote:
[quote]Through your creativity, humor and the momentous events you capture and share on Vine, we’ve come together in ways we never expected.[/quote]
