Initially rolled out in beta phase about a month ago, with the aim to help the Typhoon Haiyan victims in the Philippines connect with their loved ones, now it’s officially out and its name is Viber Out.
Viber Out lets Viber users make calls to people who don’t have the Viber app installed, just like Skype Out does. However, it is available for iOS, Android and Desktop users at this time, with a windows phone release in the plans, but still not scheduled.
You can use Viber Out simpy by tapping on “More” on your dashboard screen.
Viber reportedly offers lower rates than those of Skype and with this move it opens another monetization channel along with the stickers market it premiered in November.
