According to a research conducted by SocialBakers, Twitter is showing signs of steady growth when it comes to video posts using its native platform. The report is the outcome of a thorough analysis performed on the 500 largest brand profiles on Twitter from January till July.
The report shows that native video tweets tend to surpass YouTube links on the medium. In fact, sharing YouTube videos on Twitter sees a steep decline, while native videos are increasing at a fast pace. Apart from that, retweets, replies and favourites on the 500 largest brand accounts are significantly higher when it comes to native Twitter videos.
These findings show that marketers are getting accustomed to using each network’s video platform. This is logical, given that most social media networks reward videos uploaded natively on their platform with wider organic reach.
