Just when we thought that this was an eventless week, a small UX update that could possibly have a significant impact, came from Twitter.

From now on, you can compose your next 140-character masterpiece, right from your timeline. The tweet composition box appears right above your timeline. The confirmation came right from the company’s mouth in the form of (what else?) a simple tweet.
It just got easier to Tweet on http://t.co/SlNTFacp9A. You can now compose new Tweets at the top of your home timeline.

While this may at first seem as a trivial change, it may mean a lot to those who want to type faster.
