After testing it last summer and then removing it completely, Twitter has now officially rolled out its “retweet with comment” feature.

“Retweet with comment” allows you to embed a tweet in your own tweets. And this is awesome, because you now have many more available characters to add your opinion and/or comment on what you are sharing with your followers – according to our test, we had about 120 characters out of the maximum 140 available – the difference being the link to the embedded tweet probably.

To “retweet with comment” simply hit on the usual retweet icon. Then you’ll be able to add your comment. Once you publish, your tweet will include the original tweet. Awesome or what?

“Retweet with Comment” is already available on Twitter.com and the iPhone app and will soon be available on its Android app too.
