With all social platforms, there has always been a gap between the features offered by desktop versions or their native mobile apps. One of these features, pinned tweets, was only available to users on Twitter‘s browser-version. Until now. You can now pin a tweet to the top of your profile on the iOS and Android mobile app.

It’s in Twitter‘s nature that tweets disappear once they get piled upon by the next. Tweets we would like to remember are often forgotten. This is where pinning tweets to a profile is very useful. When a user pins a tweet to his/her profile, the tweet stays on top of all the others, despite it being possibly as old as the account itself. Simple feature really… Up until now though, it has been reserved only for desktop users.

If you want to see if the feature exists or not on your account, simply update your app, go to the tweet you would like to pin, press the menu button and find the “Pin to your profile” link. Very simple. Very effective.
