Twitter is reported to be testing yet another interesting way for brands to promote their mobile apps. It seems some brands like Periscope and Uber are now able to feature their apps directly on their Twitter profile.

The new feature includes a direct download link to the App Store as well as ratings. A button invites users to download the app or open if it is already installed on their phone.

Twitter, like other social networks and especially Facebook, has understood that mobile app developers are a huge and very profitable business when it comes to advertising on social platforms.
