The NBA season has kicked off, and Twitter is celebrating with a whole new set of team hashflags, confirming it really is counting on sports and live events to boost growth in 2017.
The NBA is one of the world’s most followed sporting events. And Twitter knows it can win the battle of the second screen when it comes to live sports. To motivate users getting more involved on the platform while watching their favourite team playing, Twitter has launched a new set of hashflags for all 30 NBA teams.

To show your support for your team, simply add the respective hashtag to your tweet and the corresponding emoji (hashflag) will automatically appear next to the hashtag.
NBA hashflags will be available to users worldwide and throughout the NBA season.
