At a time when major social platforms are making it harder for anyone to monetise content, Twitch just announced a considerable increase to its number of partnered streamers and to the number of creators earning money on its platform.
Often referred to as “just a gaming platform,” Twitch announced some incredible numbers. More specifically, the platform said that the number of video creator partners who successfully monetise their content has grown to over 27,000, and over 150,000 affiliate streamers. This is a major milestone for the platform, only months after opening its “Partner” status to more creators.
All together, Twitch claims a 223% increase in the number of creators earning money from their videos on the platform. And the growth potential seems unlimited.
As part of the announcement, Twitch also provided updated information on platform usage: Over 2 million unique monthly broadcasters, generating 124+ million clips for its 15+ million unique daily visitors. And you thought Twitter was the right place to invest your media budget…
