When Tumblr launched its own GIF search engine a few weeks ago, it was already a big big step towards blogging awesomeness. Well this week, Tumblr launched another new feature aimed at helping its users discover and share even more GIFs: Tumblr TV.

Well, for one, Tumblr TV allows you to view GIFs on Tumblr in full-screen mode. Also, it is called “TV” because it offers controls, like play, pause, forward and backward.
And then, there is accessibility. While the GIF search engine on Tumblr is only accessible to users who logged in, Tumblr TV is available to anyone, with or without a Tumblr account.

All the GIFs you can find and view on Tumblr TV are hosted on Tumblr itself. And Tumblr can do that, because with over 239 million blogs and over 112 billion posts of which many include GIFs, Tumblr is an amazing database for GIF searching.
