A new app is making the rounds among Musical.ly and Dubsmash fans. It’s called Like, and it allows you to combine music videos with AR effects, to create what its creators call “music magic.”
There’s a new app in town. It currently sits at #21 on the Apple App store and it already counts over 25 million users. It’s a social music video app that very much resembles Musical.ly or Dubsmash – the two apps in the category to really gain a huge following in the last few years. You pick a video, record yourself lipsyncing in it, and share with your friends. Pretty simple, right? Yes, but Like offers a bit more than Musical.ly or Dubsmash.
That’s because Like also offers AR special effects, face filters, and voice effects that will help you jazz up your music videos to your heart’s content. The app’s “4D Magic” effects, as they are called, allow users to turn the video they’ve chosen as their background into a different creation altogether.
Whether it’s bubbles, explosions, or even twinkling stars you want to use to spice things up, it’s all there. Check out the video below…
Effects also include backgrounds, face swap effects, and a lot more. The app allows you to make magic music videos to be shared on other social networks (including Musical.ly) or on the Like community. It’s not a surprise that it’s being called a “special effects video editor” by its creators.
