This latest ad for Belgian beer brand Grimbergen, is an epic tale of the heroic struggle of a young monk trying to save the secret recipes from an apocalyptic fire.
Grimbergen is a trappist beer from Belgium, brewed by the monks who inhabit the eponymous Abbey since its foundation back in 1128. The Norbertine order of monks who started brewing their beer for locals and pilgtims and still do so today, nearly 900 years later.
The knowledge and secret recipe of beer brewing has been passed from generation to generation and survived wars, revolutions and three major fire events that burnt the Abbey to the ground. It is for these events that the beer became to be known “the beet of the phoenix.
“Legacy” tells the story of one of these dramatic events and how a young monk, devoted to the order, risked his life to save the previous recipe book from a fire.
The film for Grimbergen was directed by Rune Milton and conceived by UncleGrey, Denmark .
