Welcome to the latest edition of this week’s top social media trends! Facebook brings more to its Creative Hub, Snapchat now has context cards and Instagram content may have peaked.
There are two things that really get me going when talking about social media: new features and the organic vs. paid debate. This week was awesome for me.
Facebook added new tools, placements and formats to its Creative Hub. But Snapchat made the headlines this week: it launched a whole new product, context cards. And that, is very exciting as it redefines the concept of the platform itself.
Now switching to the content/organic vs. paid debate. I wrote a piece about why paid isn’t necessarily the future of social media. I firmly believe it is not. But on the other hand, we also published a piece on how content may have peaked on Instagram (who slowly becomes a dumpster for bad photography). So where do we draw the line?
