Welcome to this week’s top social media stories: Instagram brings carousel ads to Stories, Messenger Platform launched a new website and Snapchat has its own in-app store now.
It has been an interesting week. Instagram keeps on developing its ad offering on Stories and the latest addition are Carousel ads. Stories are great, but brands were looking for a way to say more.
Snapchat had some good news too this week. Numbers are up, people are starting to accept the redesign and now Snap also offers an in-app shopping experience. It started with its own Snap merch but could soon let other brands run their own store!
This week I shared a personal experiment too: I mass unfollowed everyone on Twitter. I used to follow over 11,000 accounts. The clutter was keeping me away from the platform. Today, I’m loving Twitter again. Read my story.
