This week has been crazy in good news for social media marketers across the world. First, Instagram could finally bring in-app analytics to its platform, and when I say finally, I am trying to express the years of frustration we all faced on that subject.

Second, but not least important, Twitter might become more flexible when it comes to its famous 140-character limit. No, the limit isn’t going away, but the company is planning to remove images and links from the character count, and that is an excellent compromise I believe.

On other news, Google is not giving up on the social networking world. Google+ may have never been a success, the company has now announced two new apps – Allo and Duo – a messaging and a video app. Now let’s see how successful those will be.
And how could I not mention what I think is one of the best ever offline/online advertising campaign. In France, Netflix made the best out of Snapchat’s swap face feature to promote its main heroes, and it was amazing.
