The most interesting thing about social media is the way it evolves. Even if platforms are working hard and putting a lot of resources into developing themselves, it is becoming more an more obvious that one platform cannot really excel without the other. Hootsuite is a great example of how the industry is moving. They have just integrated with Instagram and are now offering a way to schedule Instagram posts, something that most social media managers had been looking for. Ok, it is not perfect, but it is a huge step in the right direction.

Think about it. Even campaigns are now multi-platform. Even Tinder conversations have their own Instagram account now. And Facebook is integrating with more apps through Messenger and even its mobile app now. The world of social is about interconnections. Platforms are now starting to understand this.
