YouTube has released a new update to its iOS app and, oh good news, it comes with new editing tools so you can finally customise your videos on the go before uploading them.

The new app is completely redesigned to offer a bette experience. It comes with 3 main tabs for browsing content: Home, subscriptions and account.
On the Home feed, you will find lists of recommended videos, while the Subscription tab will show you content based on the channels you have subscribed to on YouTube. The Account tab will take you to your own videos and playlists, your notification, viewing history and more.

But that’s not all. The updated app includes video editing tools, so you can get your videos ready and upload them on the go, something you could only do from a desktop before. Now you can trim your video, add music and even use filters like Sepia or 8mm for example. All that straight from your iPhone.
This is a major breakthrough for video editing and for YouTube. It means shorter time between shooting and publishing, bringing the platform more in to the “real-time” business.
