Yes, Social Media does impact consumer behavior. Yes, Social Media plays a significant role in purchase decision nowadays.
A Vision Critical survey of social media purchasing trends found that Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest each play a different role in how consumers find and share information, with the impact of these platforms varying both by sector and the stage of the buying process.
Although Facebook leads the way in numbers of consumers who went on to purchase after sharing or liking a product, it is Pinterest that seems to create the most purchasing impulse with 29% users admitting to have never thought of buying a product prior to seeing it on the social pining board,
