2013 was a big year in the world of social media. Yes, Facebook is still the dominant social network with 1.200 million users, but the big news is that 78% of its users now access it via mobile, opening a whole new aspect of what marketers need to do to reach customers.
Twitter got its IPO and is now worth 1.800 million dollars but, with 250 million global users, it still remains smaller than all its Chinese counterparts (Weibo, QZone).
What will really need to improve in the near future is the capacity of businesses to answer and deal with customers and their questions: only 65% of their enquiries get an answer today.
