After a brief stint on Waze back in June, the Cookie Monster is back, giving you navigation instructions on the app. But not for long.
If you’re a fan of Sesame Street, and specifically of the Cookie Monster, you’ll be happy to know that he’ll be back on Waze again… well, actually his voice will. During the summer, Waze partnered with Sesame Street to celebrate the show’s 50th anniversary, introducing Sesame Street character voices to the app.
The Cookie Monster was actually the most downloaded voice, so, to celebrate the character’s birthday this week, Waze has brought it back for a limited time. The cookie-loving muppet is back to give users navigation instructions, but only in the United States.
To enable the voice, users need to access the Waze app settings and go to the “Voice and Sound” section. There, under “Waze Voice,” they should be able to find the Cookie Monster. The voice will be available for a limited time on both iOS and Android versions of the app.
