Let’s face it, social media is oversaturated. Users love to discover new content, and publishers/marketers are always looking for more engagement. But here is the thing, as users, the content we want to see, is the content we will like, content that is relevant to us, content which is curated for us. And who can do that better for us than our friends? Our friends know who we are, what we like, and what we are interested in.
Well, a new app, Starlike, has arrived to help us discover the content that our friends think deserves to be seen.

Starlike is a new app that aggregates a curated social newsfeed of everything our friends have liked or favourited on their social networks. And it is so easy to start!
If you like our stories, there is an easy way to stay updated:
Follow @wersm
Download the app (link at the bottom of this post), link up your existing social networks (Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn) and select friends you want to follow. Starlike will totally sync up with your connected networks, so liking a picture on Starlike will also like the image on Facebook itself for example. Also, a Starlike icon will let you save content for later and curate your won list of the things you are interested in.
Of course, if one of your friends becomes too excited with their like or favourite button, you can always mute their activity temporarily, so no need to unfriend them.
Starlike is designed by AOL Alpha, an independent app studio from AOL, experimenting with new products that create experiences and connect people around the world.
