Yet, a recent research by Scredible shows that there’s still one field where this fantastic revolution has failed to make an impression: the workplace

Scredible surveyed 1,000 professionals in the U.S. and U.K. regarding their social media habits. The results are surprising in this age of digital and information sharing: 64% still believe that social media is only about keeping up with friends and family and even more disturbing more than 50% believe social media should be banned from the workplace!

The main reasons behind this are:
- – 42% think social media is full of useless content
- – 28% don’t have time to post
- – 22% worry about what their boss will think
There are some good news too, however. 54% of Americans and 30% of Britons believe their online social profiles will help them boost their career in the near future. And most also believe that a good social profile can greatly improve their reputation.
