Snapchat is enriching its Geofilters offering with a new ‘Home Filter’ option that your visitors can use in their Snaps.
We haven’t heard much from Snapchat on its Geofilters lately, but that could change soon. According to Jane Manchun Wong, Snapchat is now working on a new feature that allows users to create their own free Home Filter registered at their address.
The customizable Home Filter is ideal for friends to use in their Snaps when visiting and has an adjustable privacy setting – for obvious reasons. The Home Filter can be seen by all friends, select friends, all friends except one or more, or “only me.”

Wong also says that the Home Filter address can only be changed once every 30 days, and can be found and activated (or deactivated) as an option in a user’s profile settings below Bitmoji options. Furthermore, it’s an option users can’t apply to public places as that’s covered by Community Filters. It will also not be available to businesses.
When Home Filters is set up, Snapchat gives you the opportunity to apply a simple template showing a Bitmoji of you to which you can add text and then add your Home location.
