The Olympics are here at last, and Snapchat is making sure everyone knows about it. Seemingly “not that bothered” that Facebook blatantly copied its Stories on Instagram, the company announced a load of Rio 2016-themed features for sports fans to get the most out of the Olympics.
The features include geofilters, lenses, Bitmoji, and stickers especially tailored to fans who want to show their support to their countries. Geofilters are specific to each country – there are 50 currently available – and display an updated medal count as the games progress.
Lenses are also related to each of the 50 countries, and will feature flag animations, swimming caps, sweat bands and fireworks.

Stickers are all related to the Olympics of course, and will include Bitmoji as well. Users can include them in their Snaps or send them in chats. Finally, Snapchat features a special Olympics NBC channel in Discover, and Live Stories with athletes and fans. Live Stories will be curated by NBC depending on your country.
