In its latest iOS app update, Periscope added a feature that lets you see when people are taking screenshots of your videos.
The new feature will make a screenshot icon appear on your screen where the hearts usually appear.
If you like our stories, there is an easy way to stay updated:
Periscope was obviously inspired by Snapchat who has always been notifying users when a screenshot has been taken of their snaps. It may not seem like much, but for many users, this is a reminder that even live broadcasts can come back to hunt them later. Of course, creative marketers will also already think of 101 ways this new feature could be used for contests, etc…
Periscope also took this opportunity to update its Private Broadcast feature. Starting now, when selecting people to invite to your broadcast, you will see a list of mutuals (those people you follow and who also follow you) and invite them to your streams at the tap of a button.
