Earlier in April, we reported that Periscope was testing a new “sketching” feature among beta users. The feature that allows Periscope users to draw temporary images over their live streams has just launched in the app’s update for iOS.
With the sketching feature, users can draw on their live streams. The sketches they drew will then disappear a few seconds later. If you would like to try it, all you have to do is tap and hold on your device screen during your live streaming session and choose the Sketch option. You can choose among three colours, or simply choose a different one by using the dropper tool on your live stream.

Also in the update, improved viewer statistics for streams that have been completed. Now there is a new graph that shows how a stream’s viewer count changed over time during a broadcast. On the graph, the user can also see when viewership of the stream peaked.
