Periscope wants to give its creators more insights on their audience, so it’s introducing a new activity tab and analytics dashboard offering important metrics.
Periscope is bringing its content creators two new ways to get insight into how their audience interacts with their content. The first is a new activity tab that allow creators to see “how people are interacting” with their content. The second, is a full broadcast analytics dashboard.
Periscope‘s new activity tab allows creators to read different kinds of community engagement about their videos, but also about them as broadcasters. As Periscope explains in a post announcing the new feature
You’ll see different types of activities, including when someone follows you or when someone watches your replay, and we’ll continue to work on adding other activities in this tab. The activity tab is rolling out on both Android and iOS in the next few days.
Periscope’s new new analytics dashboard provides broadcasters with a full in-depth view of the viewership and engagement on videos over time. This includes metrics like video duration, viewers, hearts, time watched, and time watched per viewer.
Some of these metrics “will be will be broken down into live and replay to give you even more insight” about how your audience watches broadcasts.
Currently, analytics dashboard on Periscope is only available on desktop, at periscope.tv.
