Instagram has announced that there are now over 25 million businesses using its platform – a full 10 million more than there were in July.
But apart from making it easier for businesses to use its platform effectively, Instagram has another big plus: It remains a top engagement-driver and a great discovery platform. These factors have also lead to its growth among businesses – the majority of which are small businesses.
Today, Instagram counts a 25 million-strong community of businesses on its platform – a community that has grown 10 million in just four months. That is nothing short of impressive. But Instagram has a massive (and active user base) as well. It counts over 800 million MAUs – 80% or which follow a business on the platform – 200 million Instagrammers visiting business profiles each day, and two-thirds of profiles visits to business accounts coming from those who don’t actually follow that business.
Based on these factors alone, Instagram has won its place as one of the most effective social platforms for businesses today. As such, it has become the primary digital presence for many businesses – especially retailers -using visual content to engage with customers, get discovered, and increase sales. Yes, Instagram is becoming a “one-stop visual shop” for many.
As the holidays are a big deal for businesses of all sizes, Instagram has resources for small businesses with tips and tricks on how to use the platform effectively this holiday season. You can find these here.
