When Facebook announced it would attack LinkedIn on its own grounds – professional networking – many thought LinkedIn was maybe not ready to face the competition.
But a few weeks down the line, Facebook At Work is still (only) a network under test by (only) a few selected partner businesses. On the contrary, LinkedIn has kept on working to improve its platform, and make it more… social.

One of the main feature for businesses on LinkedIn, Company pages, has now been granted a new “Notification center.”
Over the coming weeks, all company page admins will start to receive notifications on their LinkedIn when something new has happened on one of their pages.
If you like our stories, there is an easy way to stay updated:
Follow @wersm
Once you click on this notifications, you will be redirected to a new “Notifications” tab on your LinkedIn page, where you will be able to check “Today’s social actions” that took place on your company page.
The colourful dashboard will indicate how many likes, comments, shares and mentions your page received over the course of the day, and the monthly totals.
Under these, you will be able to see a list of all interactions, that you will be able to filter by type: All, Likes, Comments, Shares or Mentions only.
It is not clear when this new notification centre first appeared on LinkedIn. As WeRSM, we got it today but it is a known fact that LinkedIn has been testing and rolling out new features sporadically lately before giving access to everyone.
Have you seen the notification centre on your LinkedIn page? How useful do you find it? Let us know in the comments below this post.
