Amazon will start offering scheduling information across a series of live TV platforms, through its Fire TV devices. Just on more nail in the coffin of cable TV.
Amazon now offers access to a handful of live television services and, what’s more, will now show universal scheduling information, regardless of which live TV service you might prefer.

Fire TV is already hosting a variety of live TV apps such as Sling, DIRECTV and Playstation Vue, however it is now adding a tab which will show information of what’s playing live across all channels. The latter will be organized in section based on genres such as news, sports and so on, as well as recent choices.
The new feature will come in the form of a new tab on all US Fire TV users over the course of the next couple of weeks. It will feature all latest shows and recent channels, as well as live TV apps you can use to access the content.
It’s a great opportunity to check out the new Fire TV stick or Recast device, which are already featured products on Amazon Prime Day, slated for July 15-16. Prime Day typically features big discounts on Amazon’s line of items in addition to thousands of other products.
