One of 2018’s most creative visual campaign is back, joining fans all over the world to celebrate the return of Game of Thrones.
The “Hot & Spicy” campaign from Ogilvy Hong Kong was one of the best creative visual campaign in 2018. The print and outdoor ads, which starred pieces of fried chicken as a substitute for flames in edited photography, won gold at the Cannes Lions and a wood pencil at the D&AD last year.
Now KFC Hong Kong is bringing the concept back again to celebrate tonight’s Game of Thrones premiere. And the result is unbelievable.
Shirley Chau, marketing Director of KFC Hong Kong, said about the campaign:
“KFC has always been part of the cultural conversation, so the upcoming premiere was the perfect opportunity to remind customers that the best way to enjoy the show is by grabbing a bucket of Hot & Spicy to share.”
On top of the print design, KFC also produced a fantastic animated version. Tell me, how much are you loving this?
Here’s a look back at the original Hot & Spicy ads.
