Planning a group trip is usually a pretty stressful affair, but it doesn’t have to be. Kayak has introduced “Trip Huddle,” an online tool that helps you easily plan your group travel.
No, it’s not just you. Nearly half of Americans are stressed out by the idea of organising a group trip. That’s why Kayak decided to create Trip Huddle, a group travel planning tool that takes the frustration out of planning a trip with many friends. For one, it makes the process a lot simpler and more collaborative.
After a group leader starts the planning process, he or she invites others to take part. Once they get their email notification, they can join in and take part in the decision-making process through a simple voting mechanism that asks members to rate options on a scale of one to three hearts.
The group will list all the suggested destinations, dates for the trip, and event hotels, and members can simply vote for the one they prefer or add their own. In the end, the tool will count up all the hearts from all travellers and a winner will be chosen. But that’s not all. Travellers will be able to vote for the “where,” the “when,” and the different accommodation suggestions available.
Our new Trip Huddle tool lets you and your friends vote on your next group trip. That way you can actually make decisions, not just create long email chains. https://t.co/aRieIiQdEH #MVPlanner pic.twitter.com/rqkg6snjXJ

Of course, all flight and hotel prices come from Kayak, yet the booking doesn’t happen in the tool itself. As a tool, it will help cut down on the group texts and messages, and chain emails, significantly. You can access Kayak’s Trip Huddle here.
