IKEA has just released what can only be described as the best “crap” ad where the company successfully manages to promote its product while decrying the state of TV advertising today.
Among the many reasons we love IKEA, is their taste for thought-provoking, disruptive, and very creative advertising. And that is definitely the one we choose to remember.
The latest advertising success by IKEA Sweden shows a family getting annoyed as TV ads suddenly interrupt their movie night. Unsurprisingly, each family member (but the dog) leaves the scene when the ads start playing, openly complaining about “crap ads.”
The plot, however, is that this actually is an ad for IKEA and its products. PURE LOVE!
