Telus, a Canadian Telecommunication company has paired with WWF Canada and created a social media triggered vending machine. The latter was placed in a shopping mall in Vancouver, Canada and was not stuffed with edible goodies but with stuffed pandas.
Every passerby who tweeted using the hashtag #HomeTweetHome was instantly awarded a panda. For every tweet, the telecommunications company donated $1 to WWF Canada. More than 3,000 pandas were dispensed over the course of six days at the beginning of the month, spreading joy to kids and adults.
