If you don’t have plan for tonight, then you shouldn’t worry. You just need to use your Foursquare app and book a table at your restaurant of preference. That’s right, you are now only a few taps away from the prefect meal.
Since the partnership was launched in 2012, users had the opportunity to view the reservation slots available directly through the app, however, they could not book a table at a restaurant. Moreover, when users decided to make a reservation the had to be redirected to OpenTable‘s app. And we all know what app switching did to Foursquare in the past.
With today’s update this situation changes, for the better. Foursquare has debuted a deeper integration with OpenTable, which practically means that you won’t have to change between apps to complete your plans. How is this possible? Foursquare retrieves your name and info from your account and sends all the data to OpenTable.
And after you enjoyed your lunch or dinner, you can hail an uber. Brilliant!
The update is available in the US.
