IHOP, the most famous pancake restaurant in America, is now making a pumpkin pancake beer, named IHOPS, of course.
A few months ago, IHOP launched its new burger. At the same time, it temporarily rebranded itself as IHOB (International House of Burgers). Some people got confused, others didn’t like it. But in the end, it was a tremendous marketing success for the restaurant chain. Now it seems IHOP is back with the same PR recipe, except this time, it’s launching its own beer.
In collaboration with New York-based Keegan Ales, IHOPS Pumpkin pancake beer is a season-inspired beer that brings the Starbucks-born love for Pumpkin Spice Latte to the world of craft beer. That, plus IHOP’s love for pancakes of course.
Before you get too excited – or disgusted – at the idea of enjoying a cold serving of pumpkin pancake beer, know that it will only be available for a limited time; until October 28 to be precise. And it won’t even be available in IHOP restaurants – only at a few New York events and tap houses!
The craft beer was created in celebration of the restaurant’s pumpkin spice pancakes, now available in restaurants nationwide. Note, the following ad is… creepy…
