Facebook is rolling out its birthday Stories feature globally, giving people the opportunity to create stories to wish their friends a happy birthday.
While you might think that Facebook stories aren’t that popular (just because you don’t use them), there are currently over 500 million people around the world using Stories on Facebook every day! One of the ways in which people use the feature is to wish each other happy birthday in a fun, memorable, interactive, and creative way.
Now, Facebook is launching birthday stories worldwide, allowing people “to add digital birthday cards, photos or videos to a story” celebrating someone’s birthday.
To create a birthday story, all you have to do is tap on a birthday notification, upload or shoot a photo or short video, or use one of the ready-made digital birthday cards. That’s it! Instant birthday wish! You can even add a music sticker to the story to give it a soundtrack.
The resulting card is then added to your friend’s birthday story, and they get a personalised slideshow of wishes.
