Facebook has become the best representation of our lives. All our pictures, our moments, good or bad, we tend to share everything that has an impact on our lives. And we often like to go for a trip down memory lane on Facebook, looking back at photos and other memories we have shared on Facebook.
Today, Facebook is making this easier than ever, by rolling out a new feature called “On this Day.”

On This Day shows you content from this date in the past. For example, today is March 25th, so Facebook might show you past status updates, photos, posts from friends or many other things you have shared or been tagged in – from last year, 2 years ago, and so on. It is important to note that only you will be able to see this information, not your friends or followers.

To access the feature, you can click on the “On This Day” bookmark, search for “On This Day” or simply visit facebook.com/onthisday. But “On This Day” might also pop on your Newsfeed by itself.
The feature also offers to subscribe to notifications so you will be alerted when you have memories to look back on. Again, this content will only be seen by you, except if you decide to share it with your friends.

It is not en entirely new feature as it has been available to some users as a test since 2013. However, it is the first time Facebook is rolling out “On This Day” to all users.
