Many parents worry about their children online, and Facebook really wants to make them feel that its platform is safe for them. So, the company has launched a Parents Portal with resources for parents.
Facebook Parents Portal‘s goal is “to help foster conversations among parents and their children about staying safe online.” For the Portal, Facebook has put together basic information about the platform, with information and tips to help parents better understand it, and thus trust their child’s experience on it. The Portal includes step-by-step videos to make it easy for parents to get the information they are looking for.
The Portal is also available in over 55 languages, and helps parents connect with online safety organisations around the globe. These organisations in turn provide parents with further tips and safety advice. So, whether you’re a parent of a teen who has a Facebook account, or you have your own Facebook Profile, you can now visit the portal at facebook.com/safety/parents.
