As part of Facebook’s vision to continue simplifying ads on Facebook for business, it’s announcing Codeless Events Setup for Apps, to help marketers better understand how people interact with their businesses on mobile.
Seasoned Facebook marketers will know that events are the actions that people take in a mobile app, and they are pivotal in understanding what people do and are crucial to improving the efficiency and impact of Facebook ad campaigns. With its latest version of the Facebook SDK (v4.34.0) Facebook has included a Marketing Kit that will allow “non-technical employees to share their most important events, without writing code.”
The new process is more straightforward and enables marketers to add, modify, and remove events with a simple tool. Marketers can just make the changes they want by pointing and clicking, and they don’t need to ask developers to write code, release new versions of their app, or other time-consuming actions. With Codeless Events Setup for Apps, anyone can make updates when needed, “creating the opportunity for more efficient, agile marketing” for their mobile app.
The feature was announced at F8 this year and is great in that it helps app marketers understand how people use their app. Using this information, marketers can build audiences, optimise campaigns to acquire installs, engage lapsed customers and more, as well as measure results of their campaigns more efficiently.
If you’d like to start to use Codeless Events Setup for Apps, you will first need to integrate the Facebook SDK with the Marketing Kit.
