Last week, Facebook gave its Live videos feature a whole new boost and lots of new features – improvements in live-streaming, filters and a discovery map so that users can find what’s being live-streamed in every corner of the world.
Facebook is now making its Live videos even more powerful by implementing deeper integration with its search features, so that users can find videos in an easier and user-friendly way. These changes are now visible in the trending topics section, and the search bar.
From now on, when a user performs a search on Facebook using a specific term and a relevant Live video is available, it will be included in the search results, so that users can tap on it and get immediately connected to the broadcast.
Furthermore, Facebook has added a new indicator that lets you know when relevant Live video is available in the trending topics ticker.
The second improvement is more complex and it includes a dedicated search engine for Live videos that Facebook team has put together. In the near future, each time users search for videos on the Facebook app, they will get to see all related live videos first on the search results page. The update will be available for all users in the coming weeks.
