This week, Facebook is adding a new feature to its Video Insights for Pages, providing more information about top Pages re-sharing their videos.
It’s important for both publishers, and creators, to be able to identify the other Pages that are re-sharing their videos, and to be able to understand their value. That’s why Facebook is adding Highlighted Shares to its Video Insights for Pages, offering an overview of the top Pages that are re-sharing videos, ranked by views.
The new Highlighted Shares feature also provides other insights about the videos and each re-sharer – post engagement, average watch time, etc. As Facebook explains in its announcement, Highlighted Shares is an important feature for video publishers and creators, as it can help “inspire future collaborations with other Pages.”
Being able to understand how some other Pages affect the spread of their content, can also help them build re-sharing communities around their content. With organic reach constantly falling, this is one way that publishers can make their content “go further” organically. Highlighted Shares is now available globally.
