The latest airline to join the social media wagon is Turkish Airlines. The company had previously invested a lot of money in larger-than-life TV commercial, but it’s now aiming big for social media as well.

With a brave execution, they live streamed a flight from Istanbul to New York through Periscope. The streams included footage from flight preparations, along with some sneak peek on crew’s life on and off board.
Apart from that, the company coordinated the campaign is such way, in order to have promoted tweets appear just when a stream went live.
The campaign yielded some pretty impressive results, generating over 5,000 new followers and almost 300,000 likes.
