Over the years we have seen Pinterest developing a series of enhancements to help winners and brands display more information about the products or items shown. Rich pins proved to be very successful and, now Pinterest is taking this initiative a bit further, by releasing Pins that let you download your favorite iOS apps.

For all iPhone and iPad users, there is now this new species of pins available, call App Pins. So, if you’re strolling through your favourite subjects and you find an app that you want to download, you can do so, without switching from Pinterest app to App store.

On the top right corner of the App pin, users will get to see a blue ‘Install’ button and just like that they have added a new app to their device.
