Tinder has been taking over the mobile world with its ease of use and swiping features. We have seen a lot of other apps replicating this swiping behaviour with great success. The latest application to incorporate this feature is University of Salford.

The University of Salford has introduced its Salford Clearing Match Maker app which offers personalised information about the courses that the University offers in a fun way. The app takes into account the grades achieved by the students and offers details on courses that they could choose to attend.
By swiping left or right, users can indicate whether they want to select a specific course over another. Each time there’s a match, more details appear on the user’s screen and the respective option is saved on the web app’s shortlist. According to the University of Salford, there have been over 10,000 use the matchmaker to find courses, with site engagement scoring an impressive 264 per cent engagement rate.
