Can you stay unplugged for a year? If so, Vitaminwater will offer you $100,000.
Did you know that 1 out of 2 people say that they couldn’t live a day without their smartphones? Well, Vitaminwater challenges you to ditch your smartphone for a year for a chance to win a substantial amount of money.
Sounds easy, right? Let’s admit it, it’s not. Imagine a year and its full 365 days without checking your phone first thing in the morning, before going to bed, after you’ve posted a picture on Instagram, or even taking a call from your concerned mom. I mean, after a year of you going M.I.A. she’s worried and rightfully so.
Ironically enough, to enter the content, you must post either on Instagram or Twitter, using the hashtags #NoPhoneForAYear and #Contest.
we tried to get Brandon to make this deal, but he is too busy – will you turn off your phone for a year instead? #NoPhoneForAYear #contest https://t.co/RVTF0gytnv pic.twitter.com/wFFTXl0PBX

It’s not as easy as a tweet though. All participants who enter will have to share what they plan on doing during that year phone-free, prove that they have done the deed and gone device less. The rules also clearly state that participants may not physically operate, caress, hug or otherwise be physically affectionate with anyone’s smartphone. At the end of the test-slash-ordeal they may even have to pass a lie-detector test.
You got this. You got this?
